So good they named it twice

Hello, I haven't written for a few months. It's scary how fast time flies in this city, in this life. Before you know it you look up and have been here for 18 months.

So I am still here. The last few months have seen me wavering on the topic of my current existence, on the brink of leaving it all in defeat and looking for fulfillment elsewhere. But though it came right down to the line and the decision could have easily gone either way, in the end it was made for me. I had the opportunity of taking a job in another city and starting again, yet again. It was so tempting. I saw my new life in all its splendour but just as I reached out, something pulled me back to New York and the ASC and when I turned back, the new opportunity was tainted and I suddenly knew that it would be the wrong decision. I had all but left in my mind and I took it hard for a while.

So now instead I intend to adjust my life to take better advantage of what this city has to offer. I am re-evaluating my spending habits and instead of throwing away my hard earned cash in the bar every weekend or the many restaurants by my apartment every night, I'm going to cook and entertain more at home. For this of course I need to be happy at home so the first step is to get a new apartment, the current one being something of a dingy, dark cupboard with a bed on stilts! I promise to follow up with more news when this dilema has been solved - watch this space. Hopefully it will be sooner than later, I have something in the works...

On another note, I went to the David Gray concert last week and it was fantastic. He is absolutely wonderful live. Go if you have the chance. Since then I have been overdosing on the new album, "Life in Slow Motion." Though its hard to choose, I think Lately has my vote as best song.
